Our client is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join their dynamic Operations unit. In this pivotal role, you will manage the operational foundation that enables AI&D and serve as a vital liaison to stakeholders and various functional business areas. This is truly a consultative role that can analytically provide solutions of all scales and scope. This position has high visibility and requires understanding of the technical side while being consultative and functional at high levels as well.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Operational & Strategic Initiatives: Own cross-functional initiatives end-to-end from understanding needs, structuring a framework for analysis, getting alignment, and driving execution
- Operating Model Improvement: Contribute to refining the ways of working, processes (including documentation and automation), tools, and goals
- Reporting: Own and enhance reporting for departmental leadership including monthly program status, OKR performance tracking, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Productivity Tools: Oversee and configure tools for AI&D needs (JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, etc) and coordinate with enterprise system administrators
- Financial Management: Oversee and report on departmental project expenses, budget adherence, forecasts, and monthly/year-end financial accruals.
- Collaboration: Partner across the AI&D teams to develop and get alignment on operational initiatives.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a liaison with internal functional partners (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Sourcing, Legal, Risk, and Compliance) to facilitate company-wide processes.
- Policy Management: Manage departmental controls, including policy and procedure documents, schedules, budgets, metrics, and reports.
What You’ll Bring:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields
- Professional Experience: 5 years of experience in operations, strategy, and/or program management, with at least 2 years in consulting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and reporting capabilities; proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g., SQL, Tableau).
- Operational Initiatives: Demonstrated experience in driving improvements in processes, tools, or ways of working
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing stakeholders and thriving in a cross-functional environment, with a history of building strong working relationships.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Adaptability: Resourceful, persistent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ownership: Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Insurance and/or data & AI is preferred.
