What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR OF NURSING position at Henderson Health Care Services Inc?
The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and the delivery of patient care for acute care. This scope of responsibility includes acute care and outpatient services. This individual will supervise the following departments; acute care (nursing staff, ER, surgery, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and anesthesia), infection control, education, rehab services, home health, and health promotion/wellness, oncology, and cardiac rehab. This individual will report to the Chief Nursing Officer.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Current Nebraska licensed R.N. Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from a four-year college is desirable. Supervisory experience in nursing administration desired.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Current Nebraska License as a Registered Nurse required. BLS, ACLS, DOT HAZMAT, and TNCC certification required. Initial certifications and renewals must be obtained within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the manager/supervisor.
