Controller

HHM Talent is assisting a client search for a Controller for their single-family private office located in Chattanooga, TN.

This position will be groomed to become the CFO.

This role would play a pivotal role in managing the financial health and strategy of the family's wealth and investments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in accounting and financial management with a good understanding of the unique dynamics and needs of family offices. This role involves overseeing financial accounting, reporting and cash flow management while ensuring the family's wealth is managed in alignment with their goals and values.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statement and performance reports for multiple entities including trusts and foundations,
• Oversee preparation of key calculations including the profit allocations, internal rate of return and investment commitments.
• Implement and oversee financial controls and risk management practices.
• Maintain compliance with the regulatory requirements and tax regulations.
• Oversee the process of providing financial information to outside tax advisors for timely preparation of all tax filings.

Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Provide insightful analysis and advice on financial planning, investment opportunities and risk management.
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts and financial planning.

Cash Flow and Liquidity Management:

• Manage the family's cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate resources for operational needs and investment opportunities.
• Oversee banking relationships and optimize capital structure and cash management.

Investment Management:

• Coordinate completion and maintenance of all investment related documents.
• Assist in house investment managers with due diligence and investment performance analyses.

Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Actively participate in executive and team meetings.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance or Accounting. CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years in an accounting and finance with a strong background in accounting, cash management, and financial planning.
• Prior experience in a family office or similar high net worth environment is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• No weekends

• Chattanooga, TN 37421: Relocate before starting work (Required)
