Position : Senior Financial Systems Administrator (3E / LEGAL)
Overview :
Our client is looking for an experienced financial systems professional to oversee the technical administration of the firm's financial platforms, ensuring data integrity, security, and seamless functionality. This role will be instrumental in enhancing system capabilities and user experience as the organization transitions from its current ERP system to a new financial management platform.
Key Responsibilities :
Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, external partners, and consultants to support financial system maintenance and enhancements.
Collaborate with IT to manage system infrastructure, including application servers, databases, data integrations, reporting, scripting, and security.
Provide expertise and requirements during the implementation of the new financial management system, ensuring successful execution of related projects.
Oversee the integration of core financial systems with supporting applications, such as payroll, fixed assets, and expense management platforms.
Monitor and resolve system-related issues, manage support requests, and escalate concerns to vendors when necessary.
Support finance teams-including Billing, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and Collections-with system-related inquiries and reporting functionalities.
Stay informed on industry financial system trends, recommending upgrades and process improvements to optimize efficiency.
Audit and manage user access, ensuring security protocols align with business needs.
Maintain system health by monitoring data flows, process performance, and reporting accuracy.
Develop and refine standard and ad-hoc reports for financial analysis.
Lead system training initiatives to improve user proficiency and adoption.
Conduct rigorous testing for system updates and new functionalities, ensuring smooth implementation.
Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and best practices.
Supervise, mentor, and develop the Financial Systems Administrator.\
Qualifications :
5 years of experience in financial systems administration, preferably within a professional services environment.
Strong understanding of financial processes, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and reporting.
Experience administering financial management systems, with preference for expertise in Elite 3E and / or SAP.
Advanced SQL skills, including database management and query development.
Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
