Job Summary
- The Mid-level Practitioner, CVS, is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital or office setting. The Mid-level Practitioner, CVS, works in consultation, cooperation and coordination through a collaborative physician. The Mid-level Practitioner, CVS, functions according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistants in the State of Texas.

- Required Licenses/Certifications
- BSN, MSN, ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas; BSL
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
- Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care.
- Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
- Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
- Skill in problem solving.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processes.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
