JOB SUMMARY
Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the educational programs for appropriate nursing unit cluster, including community, orientation, and in-service for professional development. Assists in developing programs to meet the Joint Commission standard requirements for education. Participates in direct nursing care.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing unless otherwise approved by the Director

Minimum Work Experience

2 years in hospital clinical setting

Trauma (ER)

Required Licenses/Certifications

(Please note American Heart Association Instructor certification identifies the employee as both an Instructor and Provider).

Trauma:

Registered Nurse
-
CPR-BCLS
-
ACLS
-
NIHSS
-
ENPC and/or PALS prior to completion of unit orientation

TNCC within 18 months of hire

TNCC Instructor within 2 years of hire

ENPC Instructor within 2 years of hire

Brownwood Educators are not required to be ENPC Instructors
