JOB SUMMARY |
- The Director of Information Technology (IT) Security will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk management program. The Director, IT Security will provide the vision and leadership necessary to manage the risk to the organization and will ensure business alignment, effective governance, system and product availability, integrity and confidentiality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS |
- Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution within 18 months from date of hire.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Field of study: Preferred Computer Science or Information technology systems security or math or engineering or similar technical degree, other degrees considered depending on certifications and experience.
- Minimum Work Experience
- 10 Years Total Experience.
- Experience in establishing cybersecurity and risk metrics for reporting
- Knowledge of Information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) (certification preferred) with respect to security administration and information technology governance in a multiplatform environment
- Proven knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies
- Demonstrated management skills, e.g., budget development and administration, policy development and implementation, personnel administration, staff training and development
- Project management skills a definite asset
- Strong Emotional Intelligence with demonstrated sustained leadership involving multiple stakeholders
- Proven team leadership skills, staff development skills, and strong communication skills
- 10 Years Total Experience.
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current certification in at least one of the following:
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Other similar security certification
- Current certification in at least one of the following:
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Occasional night, weekend, and holiday work
- Occasional off-campus and overnight travel for site visits and training
