JOB SUMMARY
- A sleep lab technician develops competency in and performs basic sleep and EEG testing procedures. The sleep lab technician works under general supervision and provides procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. The sleep lab technician ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses generated by the brain providing quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with department policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Work Experience
- 1 year
- Required Licenses/Certifications

Registered EEG Technologist, RRT/CRT or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- CPR certified
- Completion of a STAR-designated Self-Study education program
