JOB SUMMARY
The Hendrick Clinic Director of Surgical Specialties oversees the operations of the Hendrick Clinic of Surgical Specialties practices to ensure such practices operate in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner that meets the needs of staff, providers and patients. Coordinates with providers and implements action plans to ensure the practice is successful.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Work Experience
5 years healthcare management experience
Required Licenses / Certifications
Certified Medical Practice Executive preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
Deals effectively with community / consumers
Deals effectively with hospital, clinic, and system personnel
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Demonstrated understanding of management issues
Effectively directs and / or supervises personnel as appropriate
Excellent human relations and oral / written communication skills
Experience in healthcare administration and how it relates to medical practice administration
Ability to maintain professional appearance and decorum
Proven managerial and team-building skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to utilize extreme diplomacy and tact
Strong negotiation skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to physician practices, hospital services, and related Medical Staff requirements
Knowledge of legal and compliance matters related to physician practices, hospital services, and related Medical Staff requirements
