JOB SUMMARY
The IT Server Administrator serves as an application specialist who uses expert knowledge, clinical, financial, or information technology experience, and a self-directed approach to develop, establish, and maintain servers and systems throughout the network.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school; or two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Work Experience
2 years total experience :
which includes 2 years of equivalent work experience in a technical analytical position in a server environment
which includes 1 year of Credit for Certification
which includes 2 years of installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, including SCSI, RAID, and I / O topology
which includes 2 years of server performance tuning and monitoring tools experience
which includes 2 years of familiarity with TCP / IP, firewall management and operating system configuration experience
which includes 2 years of advanced knowledge of the following : Windows 2003 or higher systems administration, DNS / DHCP operation and management, Active Directory / Group Policy operation and management and Exchange 2007 or higher operation and administration experience
which includes 2 years of Unix / Linux and / or Microsoft SQL experience

Collaborates with and motivates customers, vendors, and other IT professionals to meet challenges which may include working with limited resources in order to maximize efficiency and achieve quality outcomes.
Has an in depth understanding of system integration and takes steps to insure that other systems and modules will work in harmony with their supported applications.
Successfully completes work assignments that are complex, multi-disciplinary, multi- application oriented, and require new and unique approaches with a varied group of people.
Operates under the guidance of IT Server Administrators and IT Server Administrators Advanced, and / or associated leadership.
Efficiently escalates handling of problem or difficult issues and ensures deadlines are met even when this requires that others be persuaded to reprioritize or undertake a completely different approach than is normal, as well as any other projects or tasks assigned to the Information Systems Department.
