Hendrick Motorsports is currently seeking an experienced Body Fabricator. This position will report directly to the Production Manager and will contribute to the build of the race cars and work to prepare cars for the track. The individual will ensure that all components of the car are secured and working properly and that all worklists have been completed. The candidate must be versatile and able to work on all aspects of a race car. We are looking for an employee with a good attitude who enjoys working in a team environment and who has a good skill level and working knowledge of race car assembly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Utilizes various metal working hand tools, such as die grinders, cut off wheels, steppers, and tin snips to fabricate race car body components and perform assigned body fabrication work.
- Utilizes metal working shop equipment, such as sheet metal brakes, power shears, grinders, and the band saw to perform assigned body fabrication work.
- MIG welds a wide variety of assigned components and race car related details.
- Cuts, fits, and installs sheet metal and composite panels to desired template fit.
- Utilizes general knowledge of NASCAR template grids and procedures to assemble the car to specification
- Utilizes equipment, such as the Romer Arm, to measure car specifications.

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, fabricator or assembly technician
Skills: Strong communication skills. Ability to interact well with others. Must be able to utilize basic hand tools, such as die grinders, cut off wheels, stepper, and tin snips. Must be able to operate shop equipment, such as sheet metal brakes, power shears, grinder, and a band saw. Possesses basic MIG welding capabilities. Must be able to effectively utilize hand and power tools. Must be able to travel as needed.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with team members.
Attendance Expectations: The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands: Requires vision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – respirator and hearing and eye protection. Requires constant standing, walking, manually manipulating, lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds. Frequently reaches outward, reaches above shoulder, bends, and pushes/pulls up to 40 pounds. Occasionally sits, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
Environment Demands: Primarily works indoors.
