Essential Functions Statements:
- Conduct thorough inspections of components and chassis to determine their compliance with all specifications.
- Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
- Responsible for reading and interpreting diagrams to match parts and components to specifications.
- Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures and responsible for tagging and notifying appropriate parties when parts and components are out of specification.
- Calibrate, validate, or maintain equipment used for testing parts and components. Equipment being utilized includes Portable CMM, Stationary CMM, Laser Scanners, Laser Etcher, Hardness Tester, and hand tools.
- Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
- Perform validations or transfers of analytical methods in accordance with applicable policies or guidelines.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
- Ensure that work area cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Serve as a technical liaison between QC and other departments.
- Perform measured inspections of finished products.
- Adhere to and uphold all current quality standards.
- Effectively communicate inspection results with co-workers and supervisors.
- Utilize basic statistical techniques to evaluate measurement data trends.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of machining processes to effectively communicate findings to the production floor.
- Provide training on inspection techniques and tools when necessary.
- Ensure proper filing of inspection results on the company server.
- Perform basic weekly and daily maintenance of CMM machines.
- Comply with all safety and quality system requirements.

Skills & Abilities:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent: Required; Bachelor or Associates degree: Preferred
- Experience: 2 plus years of experience
- Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of a desktop PC and software including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Other Requirements: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Required to talk and hear, as well as frequently reach with hands and arms. Required to knee, crouch and crawl as needed.
