Job Summary:
Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Water Jet Operator to join our team. The Water Jet Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining water jet cutting machines to produce precision-cut metal and composite parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with water jet cutting technology, understands material properties, and can read and interpret blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate water jet cutting machines according to job specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of water jet machines.
- Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
- Handle raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Preferred 2-3 years of experience operating water jet cutting machines.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of water jet cutting technology, machine programming, and material properties.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Quality Focus: Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Preferred: Basic CAD experience and familiarity with other cutting operations such as laser or press brake.
