Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our initiatives focused on individuals with addictive behaviors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program management and development, with a passion for enhancing the lives of those we serve. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, relationship management, and a commitment to behavioral health practices. As a Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of residential programs for individuals in recovery. You will play a vital role in ensuring the program is up to par with State licensing standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams, supervise staff and work with people in early recovery, providing structure and support to those seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance abuse disorder; streamline processes effectively and oversee budgets and policies.
Responsibilities
- Duties: (but not limited to)
- Responsible for day-to-day operations for our 40 bed Vineland and 20 bed Millville residential programs.
- Order and ensure supplies meet budgets and clients and program needs.
- Responsible for all front-line problem solving.
- Ensures that all health and safety systems are operating up to standard.
- Ensures adequate staff coverage is in place.
- Meets with lead monitor on a daily basis to ensure a harmonious continuum of care from shift to shift.
- Report any/all client non-compliant behavior to Clinical Director and Executive Director, such as positive toxicology test results, client absconding and client dropouts.
- Ensures that staff follow chain of command protocol to report all critical incidents.
- Ensures that all incident reports are completed by the appropriate staff member and submitted to the Clinical Director in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in all CQI activities and MDT meetings.
- Ensures that clients are assigned to a counselor within 24 hours of admission.
- Performs all other duties as directed by the Executive Director.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure program goals are met.
- Provide leadership and guidance to program staff.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Residential management position supervising clients and staff in a treatment facility.
Experience
- Proven experience in program management, particularly in settings that support individuals with addictions.
- Background in social work or related fields is preferred.
- Strong administrative skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting professional development.
- Excellent relationship management skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles and practices is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree - Mandatory
- Excellent communication (written and orally), and people skills.
- Supervisory experience - required.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, integrity, and ethics.
- Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, & MS Outlook); EMR system (KIPU) is a plus.
- Ardent team management skills with the ability to coach/supervise staff effectively.
- State licensing standards - preferred.
