Essential Functions :
- Assist senior engineers in developing new wheel end products
- Assist senior engineers in developing disc and drum brake systems
- Update engineering drawings and maintain them in the Teamcenter engineering database
- Provide design, drafting, and testing support to assist with new product launches
- Devise, initiate, and interpret results of engineering tests to evaluate product performance
- Assist senior engineering in competitive product evaluation
- Create Creo 3-D models for parts fit up studies
- Perform other tasks as needed by the department
- Enrolled student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong PC Skills (spreadsheets, word processing) a must, and proficiency in AutoCAD and 3-D modeling a plus
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and complete tasks with demanding time frames and minimal supervision
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with good project management, organization and planning skills
- Enjoys working "hands-on" in the test lab
