Job Summary
This role is responsible for implementing and assisting with the Environmental, Health and Safety policies and programs within the Hendrickson Specialty Products Group. The successful candidate will lead efforts to pursue and maintain certifications such as OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) or Hendrickson's Global Safety Excellence Certification (GSX) Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and assistance in ensuring the safety and health of associates through Vision Zero.
- Lead the effort to pursue/maintain partnership with OSHA's VPP or Hendrickson's GSX Program.
- S Support efforts to achieve/maintain certification to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Administer division and site EHS procedures.
- Facilitate incident investigation process.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene issues.
- Conduct EHS training.
- Manage safety audits and follow-up of said audits.
- Assess the impact of current and new processes on employees, ensuring employee involvement in safety improvement activities.
- Assist in workers compensation case management as required.
- Participate on the Safety Excellence Team.
- Maintain key performance indicators as set by the Health and Safety Excellence Team.
- Prepare safety communications for education and awareness.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Industrial Engineering.
- 1-3 years' experience with an emphasis on health and safety implementation in a manufacturing environment. Some environmental compliance experience is desired.
- Demonstrated experience in upgrading health and safety programs and process improvement.
