Position Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to oversee and manage our manufacturing engineering maintenance and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, maintenance management, and quality assurance, with a proven track record of improving production efficiency and product quality.

Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues and improve overall production processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing engineering team and other departments as needed.
- Identify means to enhance productivity, quality, capacity, new products, and regulatory compliance. Generate supporting capital requests.
- Direct Maintenance department and other personnel as needed in maintenance to repair equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Oversee the adherence to established preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. Ensure maintenance team is hitting established department metrics.
- Act as a liaison between all internal departments and various Divisional teams.
- Develop yearly cost reduction programs, utilizing both salary and hourly personnel.
- Manage the organization to drive continual improvement in the implementation and effectiveness of our ISO/IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
- Ability to identify meaningful results-based QOS style metrics and drive organization to continually improve the key metrics.
- Excellent practical, working knowledge of key quality tools and how to lead teams in application of the tools to drive improvement and/or solve problems.
- Ability to understand, develop, and implement a meaningful cost of quality initiative that drives improvement in prevention activities ultimately leading to reduced overall quality costs.
- Perform strong quality leadership role within the skills sets of Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians through practical application of the tools to drive improvement in our products, processes, and systems.
- Enhance Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) systems leading to more effective, prevention-based Quality Assurance.

- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance management, and quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
- True Quality Professional with minimum three years implementing effective Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
- IATF 16949 and/or ISO9001 experience.
- Proven usage of poka-yoke and statistical methods to assure quality.
- Experience leading effective APQP activities such as D/PFMEA.
- Experience with processes (manufacturing such as welding, forming, assembly), and manufactured products.
- Sound understanding of principles of GD&T.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple responsibilities, projects and results-based activities.
- Ability to effectively improve skill sets of quality department personnel and delegate, where appropriate.
- American Society for Quality Certified Engineer and/or Six Sigma Black Belt desirable.
- Experience with maintaining and creating Standard Operating Procedures.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma process improvements.
- Prior supervisory and/or management experience.
- Prior metallurgical experience preferred.
