What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING TECH II (WELD FOCUS) position at Hendrickson?
Area of Accountability:
Support the weld / fab processes in the facility, troubleshoot and assist in problem isolation and solution. Provide back-up support to assembly and machining areas as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Apply concepts and details of gauging, fixtures and tooling to assist in problem solving.
- Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved in order to increase throughput or product quality.
- Help in maintaining and control programing for all weld/fab areas.
- When necessary, help to evaluate existing tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
- Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility in manufacturing functions

Qualifications:
- Five to seven years experience in manufacturing facility.
- Ability to interpret prints sketches, verbal instructions, and mathematical data to identify tooling, gauging and fixturing.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude. Formal training in robotics systems, CNC controls, machining, and SPC.
- AutoCAD experience a plus.
- Must have ability to interpret prints, sketches, verbal instruction, and mathematical data.
- Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
- PLC programming knowledge.
Shift flexibility a must.
- FANUC Robotics background preferred.
- Welding Experience is a plus
