Essential Functions:
- Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety standards in the workplace
- Operate forklift and all other material handling equipment assigned to the department
- Moves material to all operations throughout the department
- Follows run list as written by the supervisor
- Distribute work orders as needed
- Unload and load trucks as needed
- Works well independently and with supervision and co-workers
- Willingness to run other machines when needed such as but not limited to Heat Treat, Hobbs & Rack Roller
- Always work in a safe manner
- Always keep work area clean
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified to drive a forklift and other material handling equipment as needed
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to drive a forklift continuously for 8 – 12 hours
- Ability to work in tight places
- Ability to work outdoors for an extended period in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to lift 20 pounds repetitively
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively
- Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor
- Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
- Visual (with correction) sufficient to read work orders and packing slips and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer
- Demonstrate dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations
- Exposure to a noisy work environment
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions
- Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
- Ear and Eye protection always required in all production areas
- Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards required in production area
