What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead -- Assembly (1st Shift) On-Board Employees Only position at Hendrickson?
Support the department Area Leader/Manager through efforts to achieve the departmental and company goals.
•Maintain knowledge of all jobs within the department
•Coordinate the training for new associates.
•Provide training as appropriate for safety and quality systems, and sustainability.
•Audit conformance to work instructions and procedures
•Audit and assure that work instructions are complete and accurate
•Provide improvements to work instructions and procedures
•Post charts as appropriate for quality, safety, MOS, etc.
•Shift Transition with On-coming/off-going Production Coordinator
•Step into production assignments as needed to provide relief for absence or emergency
•Lead Area 5S activities
•Station Tool Ownership – includes tool board audits
•Acts as the first point of contact for hourly associates
•Facilitate department Start of Shift Meeting
•Plan department work and assign daily tasks
•Provide team performance feedback to Supervisor
•Act as interim leader in cases of a supervisor’s short-term absence
•Perform basic troubleshooting activities with minimal direction after training
•Recognize bottlenecks and adjust plan/manpower as necessary
•Complete other assignments as deemed necessary by the area Supervisor
