**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate and Cashier to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, operate cash registers, and contribute to the overall success of the store. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with customers and are proficient in retail sales and cash handling.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate a cash register, handle cash and credit transactions, and balance the register at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout lanes and surrounding areas.
- Assist with restocking shelves, maintaining inventory levels, and keeping the store floor clean and tidy.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and sales techniques to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Perform basic and retail math calculations, including calculating change and handling cash transactions.
- Be familiar with the store's layout and policies, and be able to direct customers to the correct areas.
- Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, with a focus on resolving the issue to the customer's satisfaction.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
**Skills:**
