JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician 1
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
LOCATION: Santa Rosa, CA
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
RATE: $24.00 - $29.00 / HR
SHIFT: 4/10 Shifts with ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; HVAC maintenance; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. This position ensures continued brewery and facility operations by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and modifying brewery equipment and facility infrastructure.
On the Job you would be responsible for: (include, but not limited to the following):
Preventative Maintenance & Repair Operations (75% of Job Focus):
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions for the following:
Primary Focus:
- Canning line, Kegging line and associated equipment
- General Repairs and Maintenance including Tasting Room Repair Orders
This role may also help with preventative maintenance and repairs as follows, but not limited to:
- General brewery infrastructure (steam, glycol, compressed air, CO2, water)
- Brewhouse and associated equipment
- Fermentation tanks, packaging tanks and associated equipment
- Various pumps and control systems
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Design new equipment to aid in the repair or maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, or building structures.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
General Maintenance Operations (25% of Job Focus):
- Pick up ordered parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers, as needed
- Cleaning and organizing department tools and tool storage areas
- Monitoring and dispatching incoming maintenance tickets to the maintenance team based on order and urgency within established guidelines.
- Assisting with and promoting general hygiene and safety tasks required for the department/facilities
- Other duties as assigned like maintenance department administrative support and projects
Supervisory and/or Committee Responsibilities:

Requirements
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must demonstrate moderate computer and smartphone skills
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management system CMMS or the ability to learn.
- Must have working knowledge of Google Suite skills - google docs, meet and chat
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, welding, general maintenance or equivalent.
- Experience in food & beverage manufacturing or hotel or warehouse facilities industries, preferred
- High school diploma required.
- Bilingual, verbal and written, (Spanish), preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Forklift Safety Course & Certification Required
- 1 Hour CA Anti-Harassment & Anti-Bullying Certification Required - every 2 years
- Valid CA Drivers License & Proof of Insurance Required
- Other safety and job related courses, workshops and certifications may be assigned as part of the professional growth, development and performance requirements of this role.
