We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Product Development to lead our team in creating bespoke, high-end furniture pieces that showcase exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the custom upholstery industry and have a proven track record in product development, project management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple new product development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and alignment with customer and brand standards.
- Oversee costing, sample making, and development of new product introductions, working closely with design and merchandising teams.
- Guide design teams in finalizing product styling and materials selection, ensuring consistency with brand vision.
- Evaluate prototypes and collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Lead the transition from development to production, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruptions.
- Research new materials and production techniques to improve quality, profitability, and speed to market.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and identify areas for growth and innovation.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in custom high-end upholstery product development and manufacturing.
- Proven ability in project management, leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Google Suites and SolidWorks or 3D CAD software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- 10 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced product development or manufacturing environment (Preferred).
- 8 years of experience in the furniture industry (Preferred).
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred).
- Experience using SolidWorks (3D CAD) (Preferred).
