The Inner Tube Assembler works with a team of qualified individuals who together are responsible for the accurate assembly of endoscopes according to Henke Sass Wolf of America’s Working Procedures. The inner tube employees are responsible for the optics system of the endoscope as well as ensuring that the product is free from leaks, visible dirt, dust, or scratches. This will include cleaning, bonding, checking, and testing the final product.
Typical tasks include, but are not limited to :
- Disassembly of optical systems (unloading from tube)
- Clean and inspect unloaded rod lenses
- Alignment and rebuilding of optical systems
- Alignment and bonding of optical components
- Inspection to specifications
- Repair of inner tubes using the processes mentioned above in conjunction with any other means necessary.
- A small amount of data entry may be required.
- Other tasks, such as evaluation and training of new employees may be required.
- The employee is also responsible for any other tasks at the request of the team leader, or the management, including moving to another position within the company.
