This role offers 12-hour shifts with the potential for overtime, as needed. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to one of two DAY shifts:
- Shift 24 - Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Alternating Wednesdays from 6:45AM to 7PM
- Shift 25 - Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Alternating Wednesdays from 6:45AM to 7PM
What you´ll do
If you have a passion for leadership, manufacturing, and creating a positive work environment, then Henkel has the job for you! The Chemical Blending Operator operates mixers, pre-mixers, tanks, and other blending equipment, as well as monitors the process to blend raw materials into liquid soap.
- Operates mixers, pre-mixers, and blending equipment to produce liquid soap.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Safe handling of all chemicals in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Immediately reports any chemical or other spills, and follows related procedures, quarantine procedures, and clean-up procedures.
- Always Understands and follows the Sanitation Program, including the preparation of sanitation solutions, proper sanitation procedures for mixers and pre-mixers, tanks, and totes.
- Understands the fluid flow from raw material storage tanks to mixers and pre-mixers.
- Transfers finished product from mixers and pre-mixers to storage tanks and between storage tanks, following all related policies and procedures.
- Knows and follows Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the manufacture of safe, hygienic product.
- Follow instructions, recipes, and PI sheets to accurately make a batch using proper sequence of chemical addition.
- Troubleshoots issues to ensure quality batches and proper functioning of equipment.
- Follows escalation process to report broken or leaking equipment.
- Reworks batches, as needed, to avoid product waste.
- Accurately records data on batch sheets, batch logs, wastewater logs, and in the logbook.
- Maintain stock levels of non-bulk items in proper storage area.
- Maintain salt levels in the brine tanks.
- Conducts various tests following procedures including PH testing and hardness testing of the soft water system.
- Complete required cleaning duties for the process area and all liquids process equipment.
- Attends hazardous chemical seminars, as required.
- Effectively operates the wastewater system.
- Maintains a clean, safe, sanitary, and problem-free process operation.
- Regularly conduct and participate in shift turnover discussion.
- Regularly attend, listen, and participate in team meetings and end-of-shift meetings.
What makes you a good fit
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must have at least 2-3 years of experience as a machine operator in a production environment.
- Blending and batch mixing experience is preferred.

A Chemistry background is preferred.
- Must have basic to intermediate computer and math skills.
- Must be well organized with a high attention for detail.
- Must have the ability to learn quickly.
- Must have the ability to adapt and pivot quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences, including active listening, clear presentation skills, and the capacity to provide and receive feedback.

There is a $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS for this role. The hourly range for this role is $23.23 - $32.36. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
