The yearly salary range for this role is $119,300 to $164,800. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

The Engineering Manager will lead and manage all functions and activities of the Plant Engineering team. This position will partner with key plant and corporate stakeholders to implement and drive best practices in safety, engineering, maintenance, process engineering, reliability, environmental, and technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development, implementation, and administration of the plant’s annual and long-term capital plans through leadership of the plant engineering team.
- Lead and manage a team of Site Engineers and Project Managers to deliver the site’s aggressive engineering workload, including growth projects, productivity projects, and Safety and Quality projects.
- Lead the development of a 5-year capital plan for the assigned plant overlaying the infrastructure needs of the facility with growth, innovation, and reconfiguration requirements.
- Lead the development of the technical scope of work necessary to support business requirements, manage timelines, and budget requirements to support all projects in collaboration with the plant engineering team and all stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure the project definition addresses business needs while conforming to constraints as defined by customers, stakeholders, and sponsors.
- Develop resource plans to ensure projects are staffed for success.
- Engagement of external engineering services, as needed, to supplement the team, ramping up capability where necessary.
- Provide plant input to assist Henkel engineering in defining and refining technical specifications for equipment.
- Support FAT, commissioning, and qualification of equipment, as needed.
- Work with the plant and supply chain to support least cost sourcing and regional supply strategy based on fixed asset capacity and flexibility constraints.
- Provide feedback to help determine additional fixed asset requirements to support growth and overall supply strategy.
- Provide input to Regional Engineering for the development and maintenance of the plant capacity and capability model.
- Overlay different manufacturing scenarios to evaluate different capital scenarios to support growth and innovation in collaboration with Regional Engineering.
- Partner with plant leadership to develop operation readiness programs for all capital projects.
- Ensure that the plant is ready to run the equipment at the same time engineering gets the equipment ready to run.
- Ensure that SOPs are complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering, with at least 7-10 years of experience in roles with project management and leadership responsibilities within a manufacturing or supply chain organization, preferably within the Consumer Products industry.
- A master’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering is preferred, with at least 7-10 years of experience in roles with project management and leadership responsibilities within a manufacturing or supply chain organization, preferably within the Consumer Products industry.
- Must have at least 7-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Must have experience designing equipment and processes with the end user in mind to ensure vertical start-up (VSU) and optimal performance.
- Must have experience writing equipment specifications with performance guarantees, including factory and site acceptance testing.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple large and overly complex projects simultaneously.
- Must have comprehensive working knowledge of project management, writing capital projects, and leadership of engineering disciplines and teams familiar with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, FM/Chubb requirements, and EPA regulations.
- Must have demonstrated tenacity in driving through obstacles to achieve results and maintain project timelines.
- Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences, including active listening, clear presentation skills, and the capacity to provide and receive feedback.
- Must have strong leadership skills, with a special emphasis in coaching, decision making, organization, and reliability.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
- SAP experience is preferred.
