Responsibilities
As a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) at Henkels & McCoy, you will play a pivotal role in our surveying projects, ensuring precision, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards. You will lead survey teams, manage projects, and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality survey data and reports on projects across PA/NJ. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects across the power delivery/ utility industry.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and construction staking.
- Perform research and analysis of survey data, legal descriptions, and land records.
- Manage survey crews and oversee field operations to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.
- Prepare survey maps, plats, and reports using AutoCAD and GIS software.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain professional licensure and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Requirements:
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in PA/NJ.
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying, structural locations, & elevations with a proven track record of work in the heavy civil/ utility industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS software, and other surveying tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
