Shipping, Receiving Data Entry Specialist
The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage the Shipping and Receiving Department for Henne Jewelers. In addition, this position will provide support to the other team members and other areas of the facility when needed.

Management of Shipping & Receiving Department:
- Opening and verifying all merchandise is received as invoiced, use logs to track incoming packages. All incoming packages should be opened when received no later than the end of the business day.
- Determination of most appropriate carriers most cost-effective means of shipping outgoing packages to recipients in a timely manner, use logs to track outgoing packages. Communicate status of shipping with appropriate salesperson & provide tracking number by end of day.
- Packaging, labeling and logging all outgoing packages in a timely manner to meet shipping deadlines, whether picked up by the shipping companies or dropping them off as needed at a pack & ship center.
- Run point on all contact with all carriers used (Malca-Amit, Fed Ex, UPS, USPS) to follow up on any and all shipping issues, mis-deliveries for customers or vendors and any billing issues.
- Proper handling and filing of all associated paperwork (memo returns, customer job slips, mailing instructions, etc.)
- Maintenance of all self-associated equipment in performing above tasks.
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area.
- Maintain and update a shipping/ receiving instruction manual in Word and in a binder and update as procedures change.
- Understand the requirements of domestic and international shipping and adhere to them with each shipment.
- Handle outgoing mail with the USPS properly, by ensuring that pieces are handed to the mail carrier in person or drop off at local post office. Be available to send pieces of mail certified, return – receipt requested by physically going to the post office.
- Prepare all checks and customer statement mailings by stuffing envelopes and running through the postage meter.
- Assist with preparation and mailing of monthly accounts receivable bills and assist with client database management by updating client accounts for returned mail.
- Responsible for updating the out of state shipping documents done at least weekly, with additional reconciliations as needed during the holiday season.
Merchandise of Stock, Special Orders, and Repairs:
- Perform quality control on incoming merchandise (checking for accuracy to packing slip and order – diamonds, metals, sizes, etc)
- Assist in inventory reconciliation issues and prepping items received to be entered into stock and as needed, enter items into stock.
Other duties as assigned.

- Assist with customers by answering phones within three rings on Mondays and as needed on other days we are physically open and performing gift wrapping when needed.
- Assist with basic maintenance and custodial issues and responsibilities upon request or when required in other areas of the building or grounds.
- Be the main point of contact for company that handles our trash and recycling removal, contacting them to add additional pick-ups, issues, etc.
Salary : $17 - $20
