Spanish Interpreter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Spanish Interpreter to facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking clients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and be able to accurately translate and interpret information in various settings, including hospitals and child protective services. This role is essential in ensuring that all parties involved can communicate effectively, thereby enhancing the quality of care and support provided to clients.

Duties

• Provide accurate interpretation services for Spanish-speaking clients in medical settings, ensuring clear communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Translate written documents, including medical records and documentation related to social work or child protective services, maintaining the original meaning and intent.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary information is conveyed correctly.
• Collaborate with ABA professionals to understand specific needs and contexts for interpretation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while handling sensitive information.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and relevant regulations to enhance interpretation accuracy.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience in interpreting within medical settings or related fields such as social work or child protective services is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to translate complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
• Previous experience in documentation review is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

• 8 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
