This full-time role will work days.Purpose of this position : Provides overall strategic, administrative, and operational leadership for Hennepin Healthcare pharmacy services and medication management. Services include acute and community pharmacies, clinic- and infusion-based services, mail and specialty pharmacies, MTM services, pharmacy revenue management, and the Regional Poison Center. Accountable for staffing and resource management, budget, legal and regulatory compliance, and oversight of programs. Coordinates with other departments and clinical areas to ensure organizational objectives are met and is responsible for the execution of organizational strategic and operational plans related to the scope of the position.RESPONSIBILITIES : Develops and implements pharmacy strategic initiatives and operating plans, which focus on optimized patient care and safety, and enhance cost effectiveness.Translates organization’s vision and strategies to department level, mobilizes allocated resources to achieve outcomes and growth.Establishes systems and processes that drive accountability for customer care, financial and / or operational outcomes.Works with pharmacy leadership team to develop and execute monitoring metrics for pharmacy and medication use and compliance.Responsible for pharmacy budget planning and processes; monitors for performance and variances to meet or exceed approved budget.Provides leadership and direction to pharmacy team leadership and team members.Oversees implementation of drug use initiatives and pharmacy care management initiatives across the pharmacy enterprise.Responsible for acquisition and purchasing of quality drugs for HHS Pharmacy usage.Assures medication storage, access and distribution meets patient care and regulatory requirements.Ensures implementation of and compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.Ensures compliance with standards and requirements of all accrediting, licensing, and governmental agencies pertaining to pharmacy services.Develops and maintains appropriate reports pharmacy records, reports, and patient information and profiles, as required by standards and policies.Develops collaborative interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships.Engages in regular communication with leadership across the system about the medication management system performance needs.Facilitates and ensures compliance with human resources processes and programs.Serves as the RPD for the Health System Pharmacy Administrative and Leadership residency program (HSPAL).Builds relationships within pharmacy leaders within the local, state, and national health care community.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum Qualifications : 7-10 years of progressive pharmacy management experience within retail and / or inpatient hospital pharmacy services.Licensed Pharmacist in the state of MN.Preferred Qualifications : Administrative residency.Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
