Description

The Housing Stability division of Hennepin County's Health and Human Services department needs you! We are seeking multiple Case Management Assistants to join the Housing Stability team to support day-to-day operations and provide support for Hennepin County tenants at risk of losing their housing.

Location and hours :

These positions are remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours will be flexible Monday through Friday shifts between the hours of 7am and 6pm. Based on business needs of this position, hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota. New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefit-earning employees is in-person in downtown Minneapolis. Details about NEO will be provided upon hire.

In these positions, you will :

  • Provide triage and navigation for tenants at risk of losing their housing.
  • Assist tenants in initiating or completing applications for rent assistance.
  • Follow RentHelp Hennepin eligibility policies and keep up to date on policy and procedure changes.
  • Respond to resident and property manager inquiries about applications.
  • Work as a team with community partner agencies.
  • Attend all check in, unit, and program meetings.

Need to have :

  • One of the following :
  • Two years or more of responsible, paid social service experience providing direct client service.

  • A two-year human services certificate.
  • Two years or more of college coursework in the behavioral sciences.
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience :
  • Assisting tenants in initiating or completing applications for rent assistance.

  • Providing triage and navigation for tenants at risk of losing their housing.
  • Using the RentHelpHennepin system.
  • Maintaining respectful and trauma-informed customer service practices.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social services available to clients.
  • Ability to :
  • Work effectively and communicate with individuals from a variety of cultural and lifestyle backgrounds in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively as an effective team member.
  • Gain expertise in RentHelp Hennepin system.
  • Candidates with fluency in another language in addition to English are encouraged to apply. Bilingual candidates who pass a language assessment may qualify for additional bilingual pay and duties.
