Description

As a Senior Correctional Officer, you will be a shift lead worker primarily responsible for providing and maintaining institutional safety and security at the Adult Correction Facility (ACF). The ACF is for adult offenders committed by the courts to serve a maximum sentence of one year.

Location and hours :

This position is located at the Adult Correction Facility at 1145 Shenandoah Lane, Plymouth, MN 55447. There is no public transportation to this facility. Candidates must be available to work various shifts which include day, evening, overnight, holiday, and weekend hours. This position is subject to 12-hour shifts. Anyone indicating limited availability will not be considered.

A shift differential of $1.00 per hour for nights and weekends is paid, meals are provided, and a uniform allowance is given for qualifying positions.

Assign and supervise resident work crews and authorizing or issuing supplies.

Need to have :

Three years or more of full-time equivalent work experience as a correctional officer or juvenile correctional officer.

Nice to have :

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, staff, management, agencies, and the public.
