Description
The Hennepin County Behavioral Health Center (BHC) is seeking four Senior Psychiatric Social Workers. These positions provide the opportunity to make a difference in a diverse community, enhance your clinical skills in a fast-paced, team environment, and be part of a department with the mission to strengthen communities by improving the health of individuals and families. The BHC is a walk-in center that provides an array of person-centered services in Hennepin County that includes medical, psychiatric, and stabilization services. At the BHC community members can walk-in and access assistance to these services.
As a team member, you will make decisions about an individual's safety in real time while assessing their strengths and needs. Instead of managing a caseload, you will be providing residents with safety planning and reassurance in times of crisis and will support their needs and provide needed resources. It takes passion and a willingness to work with residents while providing a person-centered approach.
Behavioral Health is an innovative and growing service area within Hennepin County's Human Services department. We provide a range of mental health and substance use services to residents including populations intersecting children, adults, and criminal justice. We have 230 staff including social workers, psychologists, program managers, supervisors, planners, and others working collaboratively to meet our system goals of expanded access, upstream help, and person-centered services.
Location and hours :
These positions are located at the Behavioral Health Walk-In Center, 1800 Chicago Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55404. The Behavioral Health Walk-In Center operates seven days a week, excluding holidays. The center is open Monday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. however staff shifts run from 8 a.m. and 9 : 30 p.m. Some shifts will require working evenings and weekends and hours are subject to change based on the operational needs of the center.The shifts are as follows :
- Monday and Tuesday 11 a.m. - 9 : 30 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday 9 a.m. - 7 : 30 p.m.
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday Saturday 8 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m., and Wednesday 1 p.m. - 9 : 30 p.m.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8 : 30 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Wednesday 11 a.m. - 9 : 30 p.m.
- Thursday 8 am - 6 : 30 p.m., and Friday - Sunday 11 a.m. - 9 : 30 p.m.
