Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

This is a full-time, benefit earning position. You must be a current regular or probationary employee of NorthPoint Health & Wellness to apply for this position. Limited duration employees not eligible.
This position is internally classified as a Community Health Program Supervisor.

In this position, you will:
- Supervise and provide work direction to dental hygienists to ensure the attainment of department and program objectives.
- Assure staff development through performance appraisal, personal development and training.
- Perform supervisory functions including adjusting grievances, giving out disciplinary actions, hiring/terminating staff, assigning work, and providing team coordination.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Clinic Manager to develop and implement policies and protocols.
- Assist in the strategic planning, development, implementation, management, and evaluation of outreach initiatives and programming.
- Propose, develop, write and manage grant applications, records, and report.
- Prepare grant budget; monitor expenditures and revenue.
- Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Need to have:
- One of the following:
- Six years or more of professional work experience in a related program area.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, public administration, community health, environmental health, dental hygiene, nursing, behavioral/social science or other field appropriate to the position and two years or more of professional work experience in a related program area.
- Possession of an un-restricted license to practice dental hygiene issued by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
- Certifications:
- CPR.
- Nitrous Oxide.
- Restorative Functions.
- Experience:
- Supervising a team providing work direction, support, and performance management.
- Working in healthcare business operations.
- Working in public health dentistry.
- Working with diverse populations from communities experiencing health disparities who present with social vulnerabilities and have a history of experiencing barriers to healthcare.
- Addressing racial equity, gender equity, LGBTQ equity, neurodiversity equity, and differing ability equity.
- Implementing DEI initiatives or a strong desire to learn and engage in these efforts.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development related to DEI.
- Ability to:
- Foster and work within a collaborative team environment that recognizes and respects cultural and socioeconomic differences.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse audience including staff, patients, funders, and community members.
- Manage budgets, set goals and objectives with timelines to achieve results, and exercise independent judgment and initiative to accomplish work.
- Prepare and submit accurate and concise reports; effectively communicate in verbal and written form.
- Establish relationships and collaborate with internal county partners and external community organizations.
