What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Unit Manager position at Hennig, Inc.?
Hennig, Inc. located in the Rockford, IL area is looking for a Business Unit Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a multi-project, team-oriented environment. The Business Unit Manager will work closely with internal and external customers to continually improve work in line with the company's mission of "Making Our Customers Successful."
This responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Being responsible for the overall function and performance of the assigned business unit's QROC functions
- Preparing accurate quotations within the allotted time frame
- Assisting sales and customer service staff, engineering, and/or production, with issues for the assigned business unit.
- Coordinating and Managing the product realization process for products, projects, and process improvements.
- Reviewing monthly CSR reports, ANDON reports, Voice of Customer reports, and the QROC department's compliance with ISO procedures
- Interfacing with outside sales representatives and customers on behalf of Hennig to help provide status updates, solve any issues and/or problems, and coordinating service calls, warranty, and MRB issues.
- Leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the QROC as well as generating and improving QRM numbers on a monthly basis
- Interfacing with Engineering and Manufacturing to help identify and implement design for manufacturing improvements
- Be able to think creatively and adapt to changing conditions and the needs of our customers.
- Keeping the VP of Business Operations informed of day-to-day orders, quotes, and problems of significance.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 4 year degree plus 4 years experience in a related field is preferred
- Proficient with ERP, CRM, excel, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with marketing products to machine tool builders and users
