Description :
- Works from engineering drawings and Bill of Materials to fabricate and weld conveyor and components.
- Accurately measure and layout holes and locations for welded components.
- Adjust welder as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel.
- Operates welder, grinder, drill, variety of hand / power tools and measuring devices. Operates overhead crane and forklift, if certified.
- Completes all required paperwork, records, and documentation.
- Follows and maintains all safety and work rules / regulations including the proper use of PPE : safety glasses, steel toed shoes, welding helmet, grinding shield, tight fitted clothing, hearing protection, and gloves.
- Maintains departmental housekeeping 5S standards.
- May travel to customer facilities to perform service work.
- May assist in training new employees in the safe and most efficient use of fabricating and welding methods. Works in other departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
