Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Education: High School Diploma/GED required
Certifications: AWS 1.1 or 1.3 & D1 Certification preferred
Training: On the job as needed
Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English
Experience: 1-3 years trade training/experience as MIG welder

Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret engineering blueprints and welding specifications to determine precise welding requirements
- Utilize weld gauges to verify weld size and ensure adherence to specified tolerances.
- Perform high-quality welds on a variety of metals, including galvanized steel, mild steel, and stainless steel, in horizontal and vertical positions.
- Assemble and tack weld parts according to engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and written specifications.
- Conduct thorough product testing according to established inspection procedures.
- Safely and efficiently operate cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Perform high-quality MIG welding on mild steel
- Perform rigorous quality checks and promptly report any identified discrepancies or issues.
- Grind and polish welded products to achieve specified finishes
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are understood and consistently followed.
- Maintain departmental 5S housekeeping standards
- Assist in new employee trainings in fabricating and welding using all safety measures
Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Skills
- Proficiency in sheet metal work preferred.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical documents, including blueprints, bills of materials, safety manuals, and work instructions.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in performing basic calculations for operating welding and fabrication equipment.
- Proficient in using measurement tools and applying fundamental mechanical skills necessary for job performance.
- Proficient in the proper use, storage, and maintenance of required tools.
