We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EFDA certified Dental Assistant to join our dental team. **Duties:**
- Provide general chairside assistance during dental procedures, including preparing patients, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and documenting patient records.
- Assist in endodontics and prosthodontics procedures, as well as other specialized dental procedures.
- Support dental hygienists in pediatric dental care, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for young patients.
- Follow established infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Familiarize yourself with medical terminology and medical imaging techniques to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
- Utilize dental software, including Dentrix, to manage patient records and schedule appointments.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure a seamless and efficient patient care experience.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or a minimum of one year of experience in the field.
- Current certification in dental assisting or the ability to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe.
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting principles, including infection control and medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with dental software, including Dentrix.
