Job Title: Tooling Engineering Manager
Job Summary: The Tooling Engineering Manager oversees daily operations of the Stamping and Epoxy departments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, production schedules, and continuous process improvements. This role includes team leadership and development responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff.
- Oversee daily workflow and operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee discipline/termination.
- Maintain knowledge of departmental equipment and capabilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff and coordinate department operations.
- Maintain and manage production schedules.
- Communicate and collaborate with other supervisors and operational staff.
- Plan, assign work, and train employees; make performance decisions.
- Ensure product quality standards are met.
- Supervise Stamping and Epoxy employees; oversee employees across shifts.
- Prepare production reports and ensure accountability for performance and attendance.
- Enforce PPE compliance and promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments for quality and process improvements.
- Utilize business acumen for strategic planning and cost management.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in stamping, guarding, and OSHA requirements for mechanical presses.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
- Routine lifting up to 35 lbs., with occasional heavy lifting and regular pushing/pulling of 10 lbs. for 1 to 10 hours per day.
- Combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, and walking for 8 to 10 hours daily.
- Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required.
- Dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for extended periods.
- Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination with visual and audio awareness of the surrounding area.
