Overview:
We’re hiring a Cellular Test Development Engineer to join a fast-moving, venture-backed startup revolutionizing global mobile communications. Our patented satellite-to-mobile technology enables direct text messaging anywhere in the world—no special receiver required. If you're experienced in testing and validating cellular communication systems (LTE/5G) and have a knack for building tools and frameworks in Python, we want to talk to you.
This is not a typical software engineering or QA role—we need someone who understands cellular protocols, can validate end-to-end system behavior, and bridge the gap between R&D and product. You’ll work hands-on with development teams to build test systems, perform manual and automated testing, and evaluate real-world network performance in a highly innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute system-level tests for satellite-integrated cellular networks
• Build and enhance test automation tools and scripts using Python, Robot Framework, and related libraries
• Perform protocol-level testing and analysis for LTE, 5G, and IoT scenarios
• Use network tools such as QXDM, Wireshark, iPerf, Spirent, etc. for real-time testing and diagnostics
• Conduct manual tests to validate new features, then translate those into automated test cases
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure system compliance and performance
• Contribute to system integration, verification, and validation strategies for new product launches

Ideal Background:
• Bachelor’s (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 4 years of experience testing and validating wireless systems (e.g., LTE/4G, 5G, GSM)
• Deep understanding of cellular architecture, protocol stacks, and network behaviors
• Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks in Python for telecom or embedded systems
• Strong Linux skills and command-line proficiency (Bash, scripting, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with network testing tools (QXDM, Wireshark, IXIA, etc.)
• Understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, routing, DNS)
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools is a plus (e.g., GitLab CI, Docker, Terraform, AWS)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving priorities

Why Join?
• Ground-floor opportunity at a company with patented, globally impactful tech
• Small, focused team where your work directly contributes to next-gen communications
• Competitive salary, equity, and benefits
