B.S. or a related field from an accredited engineering program required 0 to 10 years of design experience Project Engineer with traffic or highway engineering experience Proficiency with Microstation, Civil 3D, Synchro, and MS Office is preferred FE/EIT preferred
Position Description: Experience working with local clients at the township, county, and state levels preferred. Candidate will be responsible for traffic and highway engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments with limited supervision.
Candidate will be expected to perform tasks through the application of relevant design criteria, standards, and processes, including the systems engineering process, prepare roadway plans, model roadways, traffic signal plans, signing and pavement marking plans, ADA plans, maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) plans, and detour plans for design projects.
Also, will be expected to develop construction cost estimates, prepare specifications, and perform traffic safety and impact studies.
Candidate should be focused and dedicated with strong attention to detail, and will be expected to communicate effectively, handle multiple projects at once, and maintain client relationships.
