We are hiring a Senior Facilities Maintenance Manager for our client in Charleston, SC. As a Senior Facilities Maintenance Manager you will oversee facility operations, manage maintenance teams, optimize equipment performance, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards to support efficient and reliable production.. Shift Information
Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
General Requirements
Track record of developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for facility equipment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues
Excellent organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple facility-related projects
Ability to manage CapEx, upgrade, and cost improvement projects from feasibility to production handover
Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS)
Preferred Requirements
Proven experience in building and developing strong Facilities Maintenance teams
Previous experience managing facilities with injection molding, highly automated production, and intralogistics systems (ASRS, AGV)
Essential Functions
Ensure smooth operation of all facility equipment
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Oversee facility maintenance activities, including: Facility inspections, HVAC, compressed air, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and electrical maintenance, BMS and EMS management
Monitor and assess facility equipment performance, identifying and resolving potential issues
Enforce compliance with local zoning laws and regulations
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work tracking and reporting
Lead and manage facility maintenance staff, ensuring team development and high performance
Develop and oversee facilities budgets and strategic plans aligned with company growth
Manage all aspects of capital projects, infrastructure improvements, and vendor coordination
Function as liaison between facility departments and key stakeholders
Leverage maintenance resources to drive improvements in safety, productivity, cost, and quality
Ensure effective root cause failure analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Improve and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facility equipment maintenance
Conduct Value Engineering Management Processes (VEMP) to maintain infrastructure costs within budget
Create and maintain a safe work environment, enforcing all health and safety regulations
Track and measure team performance through KPIs
Manage contractor/vendor relationships and oversee external facility projects
Support other maintenance teams in problem-solving and decision-making
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
Experience or training in Lean 6S, Six Sigma, Continuous Cost Reduction, OEE Improvements, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Proven experience in an ISO13485, FDA, or other highly regulated environments
Experience managing facility maintenance teams
