General Statement of Duties
Closing Date : This position closes on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Supervises temporary Recreation personnel in an hourly capacity at the Greenwood Park Sports Complex and other Recreation and Parks facilities; does related work as required.
Essential Duties
Serves as the main point of contact on week nights and weekends at County Parks and Facilities; schedules and supervises temporary Recreation personnel within an assigned district to include park and school sites; may be required to attend sports events / tournaments in other districts as needed; enforces rules and regulations on-site; assists with park lock-up procedures; assists with setup of goals and other equipment as needed; stays in constant contact with the Sports Coordinator regarding needs and issues at park sites; serves in sports on-call rotation; monitors youth association activities in school gymnasiums; does related work as required.
Knowledge of various sports including soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball; ability to keep records and make reports; ability to supervise employees and oversee multiple athletic facilities; dependable in all situations; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, participants and the public; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; possesses problem solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of an associate's degree in recreation, physical education, or a related field and one (1) year of experience operating a recreational facility; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
