Job Summary and Qualifications

The Post Kidney Transplant Financial Coordinator will obtain detailed insurance benefit information for all aspects of the transplant process per program protocol. You will also obtain all necessary payer authorizations. Verifying transplant coverage and other medical benefits and acquiring necessary referrals and authorizations.

• You will monitor and update information regarding insurance data and maintaining appropriate pre-authorizations for transplant, and follow up care. including the transplant records, Hospital registration system.
• Communicate with the transplant team information regarding insurance benefits, additional requirements for transplant pre-authorizations, proactive in alerting to potential problems with payment.
• Manage the bill payment process for the Kidney Acquisition Cost Center at the direction of the director.
• Monitor for compliance with HCA guidelines for physician contracts and notifies Kidney Transplant Director regarding any associated problems
• You will maintain records required for Medicare audits related to Kidney Acquisition Cost Center.

• Provide and generate regulatory reporting in accordance with Federal guidelines and Kidney transplant program

What qualifications you will need:

• Experience in clinical and financial data management required
• Medical office billing or healthcare business office experience is preferred
• BS degree with 5 years’ experience in medical billing, insurance authorization, bookkeeping is required

• MBA with transplant insurance management courses preferred
