We are looking for a Communications and Marketing Coordinator who will engage audiences through managing our organization's brand, social media channels, websites, and assisting with public relations, communications and messaging.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the organization’s philanthropic communication efforts that include eblasts, websites and social media platforms
- Develop HEF’s brand and communication strategy to support the organization’s mission, vision and fundraising goals
- Optimize communication platforms to increase programmatic and fundraising engagement
- Manage communication tools including social media platforms, and websites including HEF and Henrico Partnership and Early Learning Coalition
- Develop engaging, professional, brand-appropriate graphic and written content including collecting quotes, stories, and data
- Manage communication projects including video, photography, graphic design, and written communication for educational and promotional needs.
- Support the execution of the development strategic plans and programming as it relates to communications by developing an annual plan including timelines and messaging
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate all user-generated content in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer for each platform
- Create editorial and social media PR calendars and schedules
- Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and adjust messaging and plans as needed
- Bachelor's degree or associates degree in lieu of a 4-year degree
- Minimum of two years of communications and marketing experience.
- Experience managing and creating on-target branded content
- Experience with platform metrics
- Experience working in social media marketing or digital media marketing
- Excellent computer skills related to the use of Microsoft Office products, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Word Press
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
- Knowledge of web design/web development
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text) skills

- Salary Range: $47-$53k

- This is a full-time position located in our main office.
Salary : $47,000 - $53,000
