QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Kentucky Certificate with applicable endorsements.
2. Such additional qualifications as the superintendent and/or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
SUPERVISES: Assigned certified and classified staff
JOB GOALS: To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills so as to promote the educational development of each student.
RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO ADMINISTRATIVE AREA:
A. Demonstrates effective skill in the recruitment, selection, assignment, orientation, and supervision of school personnel.
B. Communicates high standards of expected performance.
C. Promotes and maintains a positive school climate.
D. Establishes and maintains effective discipline in the school.
E. Keeps the superintendent informed of the schools' activities and problems.
F. Attends Board meetings and makes requested reports.
G. Attends or designee attends special events held to recognize student achievement; attends school-sponsored activities, functions, and athletic events.
H. Chairs, or designates individual to chair, IEP meetings and facilitates the program.
I. Serves as chairperson of the school council.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Days and salary to be established by the Board upon the recommendation of the superintendent.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
