What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Henry Community Health?
Responsibilities
- Works closely with all laboratory personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician
- Maintains a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients and tries to answer their questions to the best of their ability
- Interacts with nursing personnel in the completion of laboratory requisitions and the charting
- Assists patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing
- Schedules patients for testing
Qualifications
- Ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills and a moderate degree of manual dexterity
- Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent
- BLS certification required
