What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiographer position at Henry County Hospital?
Responsibilities: The Radiographer is responsible for operating x-ray generating equipment to perform diagnostic imaging exams utilizing the concept of ALARA with proper positioning, selection of technique, collimation, and shielding. The radiographer will prepare and communicates with the radiologist pertinent information to assist the radiologist during the interpretation process. The radiographer will be responsible for maintaining the quality control testing and documentation on each piece of x-ray generating equipment.
Qualifications: An active BLS certification is required. Additionally, a two year post-secondary education and graduate of Joint Committee Review (JRC) Accredited School of Radiology and an Ohio License is required. Applicant must be registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
