Description
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is part of the diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services offered by Henry County Medical Center. The primary area of responsibility will be to treat patients in HCMC clinics under the direction of her supervising Physician. This position requires a duly licensed and certified degree of Advanced Practice Nurse, Physician’s Assistant, or other Advance Practice degree recognized by the State of Tennessee as well as continued maintenance of other professional licensures, and any continuing education necessary to maintain or renew licensure and certification. The APP will have direct contact with HCMC patients and other HCMC stakeholders and represent HCMC in advertising and public events. As such, all HCMC APPs will adhere to the best practice standards of patient care and all HCMC Standards of Behavior in their public and professional actions in order to assure effective patient care and the promotion of HCMC’s vision and mission.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master’s Degree from an accredited program
EXPERIENCE:
3 years in an outpatient setting preferred
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION:
Tennessee licensed Physician’s Assistant Tennessee or licensed registered nurse with a Master’s Degree or higher in a nursing specialty and a national specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner
