Description
The Registered Staff nurse assumes professional nursing responsibility and accountability within a designated time frame for the care and treatment of assigned patients. He/she prescribes nursing care utilizing the nursing process in the development of nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, delegates nursing care based on the competency of the team members, coordinates care utilizing available resources and the environment. Interacts with other health care team members and/or disciplines in accordance with standard nursing practice and Henry county Medical Center policies. The ages of the patients served are pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Exceptions include no neonates in surgery and no neonates, pediatric or adolescent patients in psychiatry.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Training Graduate of Accredited Registered Nursing Program
Licensure/Certification:
BLS: All Clinical RNs
Employee must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 6 months of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action.
ACLS: Designated Charge RNs, Emergency Department RNs, Critical Care RNs, Operating Room RNs
Employee must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 9 months of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment.
